This service covers the assessment, handling and handover of LPG cylinders for suitable heating equipment, with checks on access, cylinder type and placement.
The cylinder type is identified and checked against the intended heating equipment to confirm practical suitability. Any visible incompatibility, damage or missing identification is noted before handling continues.
Access to the delivery location is reviewed to confirm that the route, storage position and surrounding area allow safe movement and placement of the cylinder. Obstructions, restricted access and unsuitable ground conditions are taken into account.
The cylinder is handled in an upright position and moved with care to reduce the risk of impact, leakage or instability. Ventilation and separation from heat sources are considered during placement and handover.
The cylinder is left in a suitable upright position at the agreed delivery location, with attention to safe storage conditions and clear access for later use. Guidance is limited to safe handling and storage requirements rather than installation or connection work.
The service does not include regulated gas installation, appliance connection or modification of gas pipework unless specifically stated elsewhere. Any unsafe equipment, unsuitable storage conditions or access issues may prevent completion of the handover.
